I had an awesome summer, and even though I’m sad that it’s over, I am kind of ready for school to happen. Between trips out-of-state, going to camp, mudpitting it up, hanging out with my friends, being surrounded with my family, I can’t really say that I had a bad summer. The summer started with celebrating the birthday of two of my friends, we went out to dinner and laughed a lot, it was definitely something that I enjoyed doing. It’s amazing that I’ve known these girls for so long and have come to love them like sisters.
My little brother graduated from high school, and I was so proud. He’s one of the smartest, kindest people I know and he his so talented at whatever he puts his mind to. I tried to not cry when they called his name, but a few tears came out. His open house was done with his best friend, who just happens to have the same name, and is kind of like a brother to me now. I was definitely a proud sister.
I went to a lot of weddings this year, I think it’s because my prayer at the end of last year was that I would get to celebrate many marriages. I love weddings and Love in general so I definitely enjoyed myself. My sister and her friends are so beautiful, inside and out, and it’s so weird to watch them grow up.
Babies were born, weddings were celebrated, my crazy child (not biologically) chose to cut her hair all off, and we celebrated life, liberty and freedom.
We went to drop my brother off in Oklahoma, after an 11 hour drive, I started to wonder why my brother would go that far away from home, but I was reminded that God would be with him. Saying goodbye was really hard, and I finally realized that he was no longer a child.
My mom turned a certain age and we celebrated with a party, it was a lot of fun, but I realized how stressful a party of that magnitude can be. That was a night surrounded by people who I loved and who loved my family, and I’ll make another post about it soon. The picture of the balloon was pre big chop, see how happy she is. Kids are so unpredictable.
I also got to go to camp, and was a part of a mudpit at a youth group. Those were huge highlights for me, and the experience and the things that I saw, and heard made my heart glad.
I hope you guys had awesome summers and made great memories.
